WHO AM I?
I am a retired engineer who loves to play on the computer, an avid photographer and enjoys the combination of the two. Although I enjoy my retirement, I like to stay busy. I am married to Joyce and between us we have five children. Four of the children are married and three of the couples have recently become new parents. That means that we are grandparents of a baby boy and two baby girls. And we anticipate many more grandchildren. Consequently, I have many reasons to keep active photo albums and maintain a website for friends and family to access.
I have been involved in the development of several computer programs of which one in particular has been adapted to display all of my personal photos on my home computer. The program became the inspiration to display our photos and some movies on an active website. The family website can be viewed on a computer in the family room and serves as a handy way to view our photographs without thumbing through volumes of photo albums or boxes of pictures.
The website is actively updated and features our immediate family members and all of their activities. The website has become very popular since the birth of the three new grandchildren. Relatives as far away as New York, Georgia, Oregon and Alaska have been able to enjoy the pictures and events of the marriages and births.
PURPOSE
My purpose is to provide for you the same joys that we enjoy. The purpose of the family website album is to facilitate your need to have ready access to all of your personal photographs. You may have had a recent wedding with 300-400+ proofs. They can be available at a touch of a button to scan at your leisure. The same can be true of a special vacation. In fact, the same can be true of all of your photographs. And the purpose of the website is to allow all your friends and relatives to also enjoy all of the events of your immediate family. The family members may also enjoy seeing themselves on the internet. Though our website is open to the public, it can also be setup with a logon and password.
